Weddings at Prainha are intimate and romantic. The ceremony is held against the breathtaking backdrop of the Arabian Sea. The Resort has a couple of lawn venues for your wedding reception and with its semi-private cove you can also throw a small beach party if the tide is good.
Where most of the weddings at Prainha take place. The Lawns are lush and well manicured. Overlooking the Arabian sea, the Madeira Cottage lawns are ideal for wedding receptions, wedding ceremonies and almost any kind of wedding event. The lawns are also good to use during the afternoons with the coconut trees providing a natural shade over the proceedings. The venue can easily accomodate upto 300 guests in a banquet setup.
The resort's restaurant can also be transformed into a mini-disco with a ready dancefloor. Perfect for sangeet functions with both the lawns on either side and the swimming pool just outside of it, the Beachcomber restaurant is ideal for Sangeets and Theme Parties for upto 100 guests.
Each of the rooms at Prainiha have been uniquely designed with antique Goan furniture and with everything you need for your holiday in Goa. The 45 rooms of the resort are however classified into four categories. The Madeira Cottages, Sea-view cottages, Sea-view rooms and Standard Rooms.
The original timber ceiling cottages are just 10 metres from the beach. Each of the four Madeira cottages is a deluxe suite with a large double bedroom and an elegant living area (around 50 sq metres), beautifully furnished with genuine Indo-Portuguese furniture. Air-conditioning, an LCD TV, a mini-fridge, a coffee maker and other thoughtful touches give you a home-away-from-home feel. You can sit out on the patio and enjoy the sun in complete privacy, drinking in the magnificent view, lulled by the sound of the waves breaking on the beach.
Prainha offers 11 terraced cottages, large and airy with French windows opening onto balconies providing a breathtaking view of the sea, the palms and the red rocks of Dona Paula. These cottages overlooking the pool are elegantly decorated with antique furniture, and yes, a four-poster bed. Home comforts include air-conditioning, an LCD TV, a mini-fridge and coffee-maker. Some cottages interconnect if two families plan to holiday together.
The hotel has 12 air-conditioned sea-facing rooms, each around 40 sq metres, beautifully decorated, each having its own private terrace, overlooking the spectacular view of palm fronds, sea, cove and red rocks. All sea view rooms are equipped with a television set.
18 Standard rooms in the hotel face the naturally landscaped tropical gardens of Prainha. Each standard room is air-conditioned and beautifully furnished with elegant furniture and a television set.
Prainha beach resort offers a number of cuisine choices - Goan, Continental, Indian and Chinese. The resort caters to its in-house guests and also offers buffet catering for weddings and events held at Prainha. The resort also has a pool-side restaurant open all day - The Beachcomber Restaurant.
